What is stress? How does it affect our health?
Stress is anything that causes the body to not function at optimal health. The American Medical Association (AMA) recognizes that 80% of all disease is caused by stress. When our bodies carry the burdens of nutritional deficiency, lack of hydration, and toxicity from fungus, parasites, bacteria, physical toxins (i.e. industrial toxins, environmental toxins, heavy metals, etc.) along with unmanaged emotional/mental stress the body becomes weaker. This 'stress' is the root cause of our health issues. When there is 'stress' the body distributes vital energy to regulate and manage symptoms. As the body accumulates this stress, we become overwhelmed, sick and diseased.
